How to Add New Users and Authors to Your WordPress Blog

Adding multiple authors may seem like you are handing over all of the controls of your site over to a different user. WordPress comes with built in roles to let you add users and have control over how much control they actually have on your site. In this video, we will show you how to add new users and authors to your WordPress blog.

Summary of this Tutorial:

Open your site for registration if you want many users to be added to your site under Settings, General.

Or manually add a user under Users, Add New and fill out the information.

Be sure to set the username, email address, and fill in a strong password.

Select the user role to use for that user, each role has a different set of capabiities.

You can choose to send the user their information using the checkbox.

You can manage all of your users under Users, All Users.
