His point is to set expectations so that people aren’t unhappy or feeling neglected. And no small number of startup ventures fail. So just because they believed in it doesn’t mean that it was necessarily going to succeed.
They were going to make Click Funnels anyway. He was suggesting that radical imbalance was how they did it. The mission was not about your wife liking the big house after you get it. I don’t think approval was required to make the empire at all. He was saying: “Requires sacrifice from everyone.” I agree with that as well in regards to everyone sacrificing.
