Thanks for the great tutorial but I find there is one important step missing. If I want to use WordPress as a CMS, how to I set up the HOME link in the menu?
@David Hume You should be able to find your home page under the all pages section of the pages you can choose from.

When using a page as a main menu item with a nested page below it the main menu link is “dead”. Is there any way of switching it back on (without using CSS). I want the user to be able to choose to access the main menu page link or the sub menu item which drops down below it. Thanks!
How will you remove the page you’ve added? Please help. I can’t even look for answers in the internet. Thank you
If you want to remove something from your menu it would be under Appearance>Menu. If you wanted to delete a page that would be under Pages>All Pages.
How do you put a dropdown menu on the sidebar ?

If you are having issues with the placement of your menu you would want to reach out to the support for your specific theme for the theme’s options.
Hi! thank you for this video…now I have an issue at one of the pages, where header menu comes under the text from that page…and is only there…do you know what it can be done? thank you
You would want to reach out to the support for your specific theme with that issue for them to take a look and they should be able to assist.

I want to put my “pages” menu at the header, I’m having trouble 🙁
If you created the menu and the sub-items you may want to ensure you clicked the checkbox for where to display the menu when you saved it.
@WPBeginner – WordPress Tutorials ahhh I see. My menu locations do not offer me a top. But my theme does allow me to add a custom liine in the header. can i do a short code like [menu 1] and have it show up?
@WPBeginner – WordPress Tutorials , Okay I went ahead and saved it as a primary and it actually showed up where I wanted it. Thanks, I am glad you replied, it gave me the push to keep trying.
Glad we could help encourage you 🙂
You went very fast, and I’m lost. This tutorial is not for beginners.
