Avatars allow users to give their online profiles a bit of customization. WordPress uses gravatars to show the same avatar on any gravatar enabled site. In some cases you may want to disable this feature of WordPress. In this video, we will show you how to disable gravatars in WordPress.

Summary of this Tutorial:
Start by logging in to your admin panel.
Go to Settings, Discussion and scroll down to the Avatars section.
To disable gravatars simply uncheck the box that says “Show Avatars”.
User gravatars will now be removed from your site’s comments.
Gravatars can still be selectively seen in the author info box and in user emails.
