
How to Find Post, Category, Tag, Comments, or User ID in WordPress
When working with your WordPress site you may have a need to find a post ID, category ID or tag’s ID. Knowing the ID will let you locate that item in your WordPress database.In this video, we will show you how to find post, category, tag, comments, or user ID in WordPress.

Summary of this Tutorial:
Starting with a post’s ID log in to your admin panel and click on the post you are looking for.
The post will open in the editor and you will be able to find the ID after “post=” in your address bar.
A similar method can be used to find the page ID but under the pages menu instead of posts.
Finding a taxonomy’s ID such as a category or tag is a very similar process.
Under Posts, Categories click on the name you want and the ID will in the address bar after “tag ID=”.
A comment’s ID can be found by going to Comments and click edit for the comment of choice to see the ID in the address bar after “c=”.
Just as with the others a user’s ID is under Users and click on the user you want to see the ID in the address bar.
To find your own ID click your post count under all users and your ID with be in the address bar after “author=”.
