what if I don’t have a business and wanted to start a subscription box, how would I source my product? I wanted to do something similar to ipsy or birchbox but not sure how I would go about getting companies to send things..

I was excited to see this video on my list! I have been thinking about adding a sub box, but I’m not ready to go beyond Etsy at this point. Any recommendations on incorporating a recurring subscription to an Etsy shop?

Great video! I’m working on starting a Subscription box business – so this was very helpful. Do you have any tips on how to start collecting products, how do I contact the companies? And should I have a few boxes ready before even starting?

I really want to start this business. But for my products I want to sell are far away to where I want to move to. So maybe next year. But excited and can do more research and watch more of your videos. Thank you

Thank you so much for this. I have been thinking of doing a business since graduating from University in 2014. Initially I was just going to sell products/candles etc online which I created for my final major project but after working in the beauty industry/luxury retail I have realised that I want to work for myself but the subscription business really appeals to me. I know how I want to brand myself and what my niche will be but your explanation of subscription boxes has been brilliant. I have save this video as part of my research and I have subscribed too. Thank you!!

Your content on subscription box is quite insightful. I am from Nigeria and I was thinking of adding it to my online store. Going to try out cratejoy. Thanks

I’m a licensed esthetician in California and I was thinking about adding this to my business. I do eyelash extensions, lash lifts, facials, spray tanning, waxing for male and females.

Not much info on here. How do you actually go about sourcing products? Get labeled boxes? Etc etc.

    • Alfie Charlie on September 23, 2019 at 6:18 am

I know I’m late but, you have to reach out to companies/ manufacturers, when sourcing products. If you mean the outer packaging you have to find a cardboard box printing company (there’s so many) then they print you logo onto the box.

How do I go about sourcing products for my subscription business?

  19. travelbugsally19 on January 16, 2019 at 11:47 pm

Thanks for the video! Very helpful – do you have any information regarding product creation? For example, I have seen some amazing educational activities and some not so great. Are there all hand made by the subscription box owners or are there certain companies that assist in the creation of products? Thanks!

Cratejoy is ” expensive”.. it eats up profit in a way, that makes it very hard to get curated quality products for your monthly box.
